World Mental Health Day: A Day to Remember!

10th Oct 2024

On 10th October, our school commemorated World Mental Health Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness and understanding of emotional well-being. Our pupils actively engaged in meaningful discussions and participated in a variety of workshops aimed at promoting positive mental health habits.

Throughout the day, students were encouraged to express themselves through art, storytelling, and collaborative activities.  The children explored strategies for managing stress and strengthening emotional resilience. The children took part in mindfulness exercises, learning the power of reflection and relaxation.

The children also discussed who they could they could talk to if they, or someone close to them needed support.

We believe that fostering a nurturing and empathetic environment is crucial for our children's growth and happiness.

This year's theme set by the World Federation of Mental Health is workplace mental health. The theme highlights the importance of addressing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, for the benefit of people, organisations, and communities.
