Day One - could the weather be any worse?!? 29 happy children arrived at Tollymore, despite the rain and howling winds they were very excited! Not sure the staff shared the same level of excitement! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜†!
After sorting rooms and unpacking the hoardes of sweets...... we began our first round of activities......who doesn't want to go on a muddy adventure walk? There was lots of splashing in muddy puddles, mud masks and general rolling around in mud!! There were lots of muddy kids.....and staff by the end of the walk, so after a hose down (literally!) we were all ready for our lunch.
Afternoon activities included wall climbing, orienteering and another lucky group going on the adventure walk. Then followed some free time and dinner at 6pm, we had all built up an appetite by then. Evening activities commenced at 7pm with a walk on Murllough and some groups using the high ropes. So it's time for wind down......we hope. Thankfully everyone is safe, happy and have really enjoyed their first day. So night night mums and dads, your little angels will hopefully be tucked up and sleeping soon......😴.... We live in hope!! I
Day 2 and the sun eventually came out 🌞 There were a few tired looking heads at the breakfast table 💤 After another day of fun activites.....kayaking, mountain walking and the infamous adventure walk, the children all had an amazing day. We also had a birthday to celebrate - Daniel T who turned 11 today. We are having a pjs cinema night tonight and as were are all very tired.... Fingers crossed it'll be lights out early tonight!
