On Tuesday 16th June, Primary 6 and 7 children were invited to spend the day at Downpatrick Race Course. The event was a great success, the children got to meet a jockey, trainer and farior who told them about their jobs and responsibilties. The kids were then treated to an ice cream, snack, drink and a goodie bag!!
There was much excitement as the jockeys raced the course, this was followed by a children's running race on the course. Congratulations to Luke who won the race. Thanks to Trish McMullan for the transport.
