P6/7 CPR Training
25th May 2018
On Monday Mrs McKeating very kindly gave up her time to come into school to teach the P6/7 pupils about the very important life skill - CPR.
The children learnt how to:
- make safe approach and assessment
- make a 999/112 call
- open an airway
- check for breathing
- put someone in the recovery position
- check for signs of circulation
- perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
The children really enjoyed the activities and made an excellent job of putting each other in the recovery positions and performing CPR on the resuscitation dolls. Mrs McKeating has a very important job in the cardiac ward in the Royal Victoria Hospital, we would like to thank her for sharing her valuable skills and knowledge with us.
