Primary 6/7 children had an amazing morning participating in an Anim18 workshop delivered by local animator and director Joel Simon. Joel is the creative director of Flickerpix Animation Studios and has won over 40 international awards for animated films and programs. He has worked with groups such as UTV, Channel 4 and Sesame Street!!We were chosen to participate in the workshop as part of our Nerve Centre Partnership. Joel demonstrated how to create animations using stop motion, then he unleashed the children to have a go! There was great excitement and buzz in the room. The children really enjoyed the workshop and have created some great animations. This the beginning of our animation journey, we are looking forward to creating more animations and developing our editing skills, adding sounds and titles.....watch this space!
