P5 children visit Assumption Grammar to participate in Project 500
On Monday the primary 5 class travelled to Assumption Grammar School with their Shared Education Partners to take part in the Project 500 day. Project 500 promotes the reading of science books. At the school the pupils had a wonderful day. They visited a Biology and a Chemistry laboratory and took part in many exciting experiments ranging from flame testing to cutting open a cow’s heart…. gruesome! The pupils also went to the school’s Library where they were greeted by famous scientists of the past who took their stories. The day was rounded off with a wonderful science quiz. We would like to thank all the staff at Assumption Grammar school for making such a wonderful day possible.
