P2/3 spent time exploring the topic of clothes. They investigated 3 areas: shoes, wet clothes, dry clothes. They set up a ‘Fashion Factory’ designing their own shoes and clothes. They also had their own fashion store where they enjoyed dressing up as well as buying / selling clothes and shoes.
They programmed a robot to travel around looking for shoes and clothes. The children even spent time investigating materials which were waterproof. During Literacy Hour they read stories such as ‘the Emperors New Clothes’ and The Elves and the Shoemaker’ as well as writing clothes reports.
