NI Water Visit

7th Feb 2025

We had the pleasure of welcoming Pat from NI Water to our school, where he delivered an engaging and informative presentation on the water cycle and the essential work NI Water does in ensuring clean and safe water for all.

The pupils were captivated as Pat explained the journey of water, from rainfall to the rivers and reservoirs, and finally into our homes. He used vivid illustrations and interactive discussions to demystify the complex process of water purification, highlighting the various stages involved in making our water safe to drink.

Pat’s presentation not only enriched our pupils' understanding of the science behind water but also underscored the importance of conserving this vital resource. By sharing real-world examples and fascinating facts, he inspired our students to think critically about their own water usage and its impact on the environment.

Our pupils also had the opportunity to engage in a lively Q&A session where they asked insightful questions about what they learned. Pat was delighted to see their curiosity and enthusiasm, answering each question with patience and expertise.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Pat and NI Water for this invaluable learning experience. It was a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to gain a deeper appreciation for the natural processes that make our everyday lives possible, and we look forward to future collaborations that continue to ignite a passion for learning about our world.

Also a big thank you for gifting our P4-7 pupils reusable water bottles.
