Here comes the Show........
The show must go on!
When talking about plays or pantomimes they often say “It will be all right on the night” but in Saint Joseph’s this is never the case… because our shows are better than “all right” in short they’re blooming marvellous and this year with Tinsel and Tea Towels and Snow White the audience were in for a treat.
Tinsel and Tea Towels was a triumph. Written and produced by Mrs A Boyd (not really!!) is a play based on the story of the Nativity and God himself would have been proud of the production. The tricky script was beautifully interpreted and no detail was missed. The Cast Superb, the costumes first class and the songs… rarely as so much been sang in thirty minutes!
Tinsel and Tea Towels was followed by the edgier, darker production of Snow White. From mad axe men to purveyors of poisonous fruit, from house proud vertically challenged people to Kung Fu kicking animals, this show had it all and then some. The climax of the show was unforgettable as the beautiful Snow White married the handsome yet tongue tied Prince Charming.
To conclude it was a night that those who threaded the boards will never forget and those who watched should consider themselves blessed to see such talent.
Many thanks to Mrs Savage for all the time she dedicated to making the amazing costumes and Georgie for helping with the ‘hairstyles.’
Massive thanks to the Parents Support Group who treated us to delicious mulled wine, shortbread and a beautiful display. Your hard work and support to our school is much appreciated.
We wish all our parents, children and local community a Very Happy Christmas and New Year.
