Declan Visits St.Joseph's
In June we had a very special visit from Declan McMullan. Declan (Mrs Boyd's nephew) suffered a cardiac arrest in March 2012, this was caused by an underlying condition known as Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome, a heart condition in which there is an abnormal extra electrical pathway in the heart. We held a special event to raise money for Declan's fund to purchase a special cycle bike. The Primary 7 children hosted a hot chocolate and bun sale and numerous other events -the grand total raised was £500 !!
Declan and his family are an inspiration to us all and we wish Declan well in the future.
Declan's brother Mark is performing with the Irish amateur choral society in the premiere of Sunset Boulevard in the Grand opera House Belfast from the 7th to 10 th October helping to raise awareness and much needed funds for 'CRY ' , Brain injury Matters and MYMY......everyone is welcome.
