Celebrating Grandparents Day
Catholic Schools Week
We celebrated ‘Grandparents’ day as part of Catholic School’s week.
We invited our Granny’s and Granddad’s to a lovely assembly followed by an enjoyable cup of tea and a chat.
Mrs Boyd’s class started assembly with a lovely morning prayer followed by a fantastic poem about ‘Grandma’s Spectacles’ and then finished with two short songs about five little grannies jumping on the bed , it was very funny!
Mr McVeigh’s class read out some lovely poems that they composed about their grandparents. Ronan loves the way his granddad eats his dinner and is always finished first.
Caoimhe loves her nanny and calls her ‘supergran’.
Mrs Mc Mullan’s class sang a beautiful song about Grandparents.
Assembly finished with two of Mrs Morgan’s pupils, Rhianna and Zac, reading great stories about their special memories of their grandparents.
It was a lovely assembly which was even more special when Kate played two piano pieces for us all to listen to, well done Kate. To make this even more special both Kate’s grannies were there to give her a big clap, they were very proud of her.
