Catholic Schools Week 2015
On Friday 30th January we celebrated ‘Catholic Schools Week’ focusing on grand-parents day. P1 and P2 lead the Assembly with a beautiful poem followed by a ‘Winter Song’ and then the said a little line about what they love about their Granny or Granda.
Erin said, “I love my granny because she makes me sausages”
Jay said, “My granny and granda take me to the park in Newcastle”
Lucy said, “I love my granny’s dinner on a Sunday”
Emma said, “I love my granny and granda because they take me to piano lessons”.
Then the P4 to P7 children contributed to a great selection of stories about their grandparents.
Finally the school choir who will be performing at the ‘Peace Proms’ on Sunday 8th February sang one of the songs, “Let it go” which they will sing with 2000 other children at the Odyssey.
Thank you for the great support for our Catholic schools Week celebration and I hope you all enjoyed the cup of tea and a wee chat.
