Autism Awareness Month
2nd Apr 2025
Autism Awareness Month, which begins with World Autism Awareness Day on April 2nd, is a month long period dedicated to raising awareness, promoting understanding, and fostering acceptance of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
In observation of Autism Awareness Month, our school proudly underscored our commitment to inclusive education and the well-being of all pupils. Mrs. Connor, our Designated Teacher for Safeguarding and Child Protection, attended an insightful webinar focused on supporting children with Autism in the classroom. This valuable session explored a variety of effective strategies to enhance learning environments and foster understanding among pupils. Mrs. Connor gained substantial knowledge on creating supportive, inclusive classroom settings and is eager to implement these approaches to ensure every child thrives. By continuing to educate ourselves, we aim to promote greater awareness and inclusivity throughout our school community. Please join us in recognising Autism Awareness Month as we strive to create an environment where every child feels valued and supported. We appreciate your ongoing support and look forward to making positive, meaningful strides together!
