All Areas Covered.
In Primary 4 and 5 we have been learning about Area. We started using different objects to calculate the area. At first we measured how many books it would take to cover the whole desk. Everyone had different answers as we all used different sized books. Some people used really big books and only needed 18, other groups used small books and had to use over 30books to cover the desk. This is why we have to use standard units of measurement. We had a lot of fun finding the area of lots of different things. Primary 5 pupils are using squared centimetres. We finished the lesson by seeing if we could squeeze our whole class into a squared metre. Learning about measures can be a big area to cover but we know in our maths lessons we can cover everything.
