Nurse Stephanie visits P1/2 to talk about how she helps people.

11th Oct 2016

On Wednesday 5th October, we had a special visitor to our Classroom, ‘Nurse Stephanie’ to chat to us about her job. This links in with our topic ‘People who help us’.

Stephanie had her own little assistant, Josh who loved to help his mum.

She showed us lovely pictures of the different places in the hospital, the entrance, nurse’s station, Ambulance Park, children’s ward and the children’s play area.

Then the best part of her visit was ‘Max the sick teddy’ – he had his leg in plaster and a ‘butterfly’ in his arm which he got his medicine through. Lots of the boys and girls let Stephanie put bandages on their arms. Tyler enjoyed putting his finger into the machine to check his heart.

At the end everyone got a certificate and a sticker from Stephanie.

Thank you Stephanie and Josh for a very enjoyable learning experience for P1 and P2.
